Cricketer Irfan Pathan is all set to show off his acrobatic skills on a very different pitch this time.
The Indian all-rounder will enter Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 as the season's first wild card entry and has declared that he will dance on the show for a cause.
"My brother Yusuf and I jointly run an institute called Cricket Academy Of Pathans.
"It is our dream project and https://www.vingle.net/posts/3108698 we want to see it grow," Irfan told agencies, adding that all the money that he makes dancing on the show would go towards the betterment of his training institute.
All Irfan Pathan's proceeds from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 will go to his cricket school, Academy Of Pathans, launched in September 2014 for underprivileged children, who show a flair for the game
Cricket Academy Of Pathans is a self-funded effort launched by Irfan and Yusuf Pathan in September 2014 for underprivileged children, who show a flair for the game.
The academy has tied up with Australian cricket legend and ex-India coach Greg Chappell as one of its chief mentors.
Chappell's role will primarily be to coach the coaches of the Academy.
Irfan, 30, confessed to being "a non-dancer" and said he took a couple of months before agreeing to be on board.

For Irfan, participating on Jhalak as a wild card also seemed like a good way to stay in shape.
This is an off-season for cricket, after all.
While the cricketer might make hitting over-boundaries and bowling a great swing look like a piece of cake, Irfan did confess that honing his dancing skills are proving to be a tough deal even for an athelete.
Even as he perfects his groove, Irfan has already set sights on a new challenge.

He wants to try participating in a reality music show next, to test his skills as a singer.
Of course, we are sure the proceeds of that too will go into crafting the future of talented underprivileged cricketers through his academy.
