She's just been named 'the number one model in the world'. 

And on Monday, Adut Akech was sending thanks to Victoria Beckham after strutting her stuff for the designer's show on the runway at London Fashion Week. 

The 19-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to offer her thanks, aduqq apk captioning a series of photos: 'Honour it was walking in the beautiful @victoriabeckham show in this major look styled by #joemckenna'.

In the accompanying photos, the model looks stunning in a streamlined sheer red dress with scarf detailing at the neckline. 

The retro silhouette was accompanied by a beige, long coat with red striped white lining.

An unusual pair of leopard print boots with an open toe completed the high fashion look. 

The post comes after it was revealed the beauty, who is fronting this season's Coach campaign, has become the number one model in the world, beating out the supermodel Hadid sisters.  

Topping supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, the Sudanese-Australian model took the industry's vote by storm for Models.com Industry Awards.

Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid, 23, scored the reader's choice vote for the female model of the year.

Industry's vote runner up was British model Adwoa Aboah, 26, while the reader's choice runner up was Bella Hadid, 22.   

Adut, who began her career at age 16, was born in a refugee camp in South Sudan and arrived in Adelaide when she was just seven-years-old.

In July 2018, Adut was chosen by creative director Karl Lagerfeld to be the first black Chanel bride in over a decade at Couture Week.
